Thursday-Sunday, March 1-4, 2012 -- The Garden Clubs of District IV, members of Michigan Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc., presents a Standard Flower Show at the West Michigan Home and Garden Show held at DeVos Place, 303 Monroe, NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. “GROWING – Together We Bloom.”  Admission for adults is $9, for children ages 6-14 is $4, and children five and under are free.

Friday-Sunday, March 9 - 11, 2012 -- The Michigan Home and Garden Show at the Silverdome in Pontiac.  After a hiatus of 4 years, the Home and Garden Show is back and District I will be staging a Floral Exhibition, "Rembering the Past - Forging the Future"  as part of the show.  This is not a Standard Flower Show and will not be judged.  Join us and stroll down Memory Lane of past shows, with each design class titled after one of the Flower Shows that District I staged at the Home and Garden Show over the past 20 years.

Saturday & Sunday, June 23-24 -- The 21st annual Grosse Pointe Garden Tour, sponsored by the Grosse Pointe Garden Center, Inc., will be held rain or shine. The tour hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Tickets are $12 pre-tour and $15 on tour days. They are available at certain local merchants and at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Drive, in Grosse Pointe Farms (313) 881-7511 ext. 206.

There are six beautiful private gardens throughout the Grosse Pointes on our tour this year as well as the Trial Gardens and Veterans' Garden at the War Memorial.  A few of the gardens are pesticide free. There will be master gardeners and artists at the private gardens.  All proceeds will be used to benefit the education, beautification, horticulture and conservation of our community.
