Douglas - Saugatuck-Douglas Garden Club's Annual Plant Sale

Saturday, May 16 -- The Saugatuck-Douglas Garden Club will host their Annual Plant Sale.  The sale will be held at the Saugatuck-Douglas Historical Society's "Old School House" Garden on Center Street in downtown Douglas, Michigan.  Come join us from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to kick off the growing season with flats of annuals, ferns, perennials and pots of flowers.  All proceeds from the sale fund our scholarship program available to local graduating seniors who will be furthering their education in horticultural sciences.  Any further information, contact Betsy Muir @ 269-455-5047.

National Garden Week

Sunday-Saturday, June 7-13 -- National Garden Week  Plan Events to Celebrate National Garden Week in Your Community.  Use this week to encourage pride in communities and cooperation among groups interested in educating the general public on the importance of general gardening information.  The more involved in the community that your garden club can be, the more awareness we can generate for National Garden Club and everything we do.

Grand Rapids - Standard Flower Show

Saturday-Sunday, June 27-28 -- Standard Flower Show, "Tranquility", presented by Kent Garden Club will be help at Meijer Gardens, 1000 East Beltline, Grand Rapids.  The show coincides with the opening the the new Japanese Garden at Meijer Gardens.  Flower show is included in the price of admission to the gardens. Paw Paw - 8th Annual Garden Tour

Saturday, June 27 -- 8th Annual Garden tour "Splendor In The Garden", sponsored by the Carnegie Garden Club, Paw Paw, MI.  Tour is from  10 AM-4 PM and starts at the Carnegie Center, 129 S. Kalamazoo St. ,Paw Paw.  At the Center, along with the Mattawan Garden Club,  a Garden Market featuring garden crafts, plants for sale and free refreshments will be the highlight along with the gardens of the Center that the Carnegie Club maintains.  The Mattawan Garden Club will also be assisting with hosting at the 6 homes that have a vast variety of gardens from small to large.  For the second year the Southwest Art Association will have a talented artist at each garden.  Presale tickets are $8 and day of $10.  For more information, call tour chairperson, Gail Karr 269-657-6733.

Marshall - 25th Annual Tour of Gardens

Charlevoix - Annual Garden Walk

Wednesday, July 15 -- The Charlevoix Area Garden Club is pleased to announce its annual Garden Walk, "A Day with Flowers and Friends" from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On the very same day as the Walk, the Club is also offering a luncheon, "Lunch with Flowers and Friends" in the East Garden Room at Castle Farms. Monroe - Annual Lotus Tour

Saturday, July 25 --  The Lotus Garden Club of Monroe County sponsors the annual free Lotus Blossom tour. Advanced registration is required. To attend the half day carpool tour that begins at 9 a.m., please contact Jeanne Micka, Conservation Chair/Sawyer Grounds Chair, at  rgm@core.com  from July 1 - 10. Because Homeland Security does a background check, all attendees have to follow these directions.  She needs each adult’s name, address, phone number and email address. Children are welcome, but must be registered by name and age. Guests should wear outdoor apparel and closed-toe shoes, and bring bug repellent, sunglasses, binoculars, and cameras. Guests will receive more information upon receipt of registration and must bring identification on tour day.

54th Michigan Flower Show Symposium
